Not much about Forex trading here but you might like to read it all the same. And it may have significance for your success as a Forex trader – which is what this website is all about.
Friedrich Nietzche once wrote, “Don’t show me the philosophy; show me the philosopher.” Really he was saying, “Who’s the person behind this?”
These days we read all sorts of stuff on the internet. If a source is claiming to be authoritative, I always remember ole’ Nietzsche and think, ‘Who’s the person behind this?’ I suppose that really what I’m asking myself is, ‘Do I trust them?’
The stereotype of a successful Forex trader is a young, cocky guy with a canary yellow Ferrari. Well, sorry to disappoint but I’m old, humble and drive a well-kept but distinctly aged people carrier called Saoirse. (I’ve got an ancient laptop too. But hey, it works. It’s all I need for currency trading. I read somewhere that Warren Buffett is pretty frugal too – so maybe I’m in good company?)
I’m Irish. Saoirse is the Irish for ‘freedom’. And that’s really what I wanted from Forex trading – freedom to live the life I want. Isn’t that what you want too?
Now the life you want may be radically different to mine. So if you want a canary yellow Ferrari, then go for it!
I used be a psychologist, working in the corporate world. But I burned out (too much travel, too many faceless hotels). I became a writer – which I still love. Writing can be lucrative but Forex trading is far more reliable: not in terms of one trade but when you take batches of trades.
I’ve rock climbed for nearly all of my life and am well known in the climbing community. I give back by creating new climbs, by writing articles and by posting about climbing. Right now, I don’t feature on Forex trading forums though; there’s just not enough time in the day.
Anyway, if you download a FREE copy of the Ebook, ‘My Forex Struggle – What I Finally Learned,’ by the time you’ve finished you’ll know a lot more about me. Much more importantly, you’ll know far more about the perils and pitfalls of Forex trading. You can grab a copy HERE.
To your continued success,
Michael (Mick) Ward
